For kids this month at your library

The Book Buddies Pony Express Therapy Dogs, in partnership with the East Hills Library, are offering children a way to improve their reading skills in a unique and fun environment. This program utilizes therapy dogs as the listeners for children of all ages and reading levels.  Drop in anytime during this 90 minute session.

Get ready to sing, dance, read, and have so much fun for Storytime at the East Hills Library!

This week we will be reading stories featuring fairies and then making a fun fairie garden craft! If you and your child enjoy a variety of games, crafts, and activities, join us every week for Tricky Tuesday! This program is best for Children ages 6 to 12.

Featuring fun crafts that may be wacky for the time of year. Available every Wednesday. While supplies last. Ask for at the circulation desk.

Join us each month as we explore a fun food themed story, learn a kitchen skill, and try out a tasty treat based on our book. This month we'll be reading A Big Mooncake for Little Star by Grace Lin. Kids will practice egg separating and we'll try mooncakes, a traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival treat. For kids ages 6-11 and their caregivers. Registration required.

Join us at the Downtown Library for Storytime. We will read books, make crafts, and have open play time. Swing on by and make some new friends!

Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month playing Lotería at the East Hills Library! Lotería is a game of chance, similar to Bingo, but using an image-filled deck of cards instead of numbered ping-pong balls. It's a fun way kids can learn memory and matching skills plus vocabulary words in English and Spanish. Bring your friends and family to have a good time, have snacks, and win prizes!
