Description:

As we celebrate America's 250th Anniversary, we can reflect on some of our history. The East Hills Library is hosting author and speaker, Dorinda Nicholson. Dorinda’s family lived near the tip of the Pearl City Peninsula, only a few hundred yards from the USS Utah, the first ship to be attacked at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Ms. Nicholson's book Pearl Harbor Child: A Child’s View of Pearl Harbor from Attack to Peace gives a childhood perspective to the bombing and the war. Come hear her fascinating story for yourself.
