For kids this month at your library

This week we will be reading stories featuring friendship and then making a fun craft! If you and your child enjoy a variety of games, crafts, and activities, join us every week for Tricky Tuesday! This program is best for Children ages 6 to 12.

Children aged 0-6 and their caregivers are invited to learn and play together in the East Hills Storytime Room with the early literacy toy collection. In addition, we will sing songs and fingerplays featuring rhythm instruments, ribbon wands, scarves and/or shakers.

Your baby has A LOT to say! With just a few easy-to-learn American Sign Language signs, you can start communicating with your preverbal baby. Caregivers, with babies from 6-15 months old, will learn how to use simple ASL signs to help their baby communicate long before speech is possible. Babies will enjoy music, games, stories, bubbles & seeing other babies, in this interactive class for parents and babies to attend together. Join us as we sing, sign and play our way through learning!

Children, ages 18 months-3 years, and their caring adults, can participate in early literacy enhancing activities including books, songs, movement activities, finger plays and flannel stories.

Join Ms. Lisa for a fun filled Storytime followed by an activity and open play time!

Do you need a valentine box for your school party? Come make it with us at the library! We'll have boxes and supplies to cover them, you bring your creative ideas. For grades K-6, no registration required.

Come celebrate Take Your Kid to the Library Day! Each branch will feature a unique scavenger hunt presented by our Teen Advisory Board. This is an all ages program where everyone can win a sweet prize! Once you find all the items in the library, you will get a small reward. So, take your child to the library and have fun!

The Book Buddies Pony Express Therapy Dogs, in partnership with the East Hills Library, are offering children a way to improve their reading skills in a unique and fun environment. This program utilizes therapy dogs as the listeners for children of all ages and reading levels.  Drop in anytime during this 90 minute session.

Do you love to do jigsaw puzzles? We do too! But what do you do with the ones you have completed? Now's your chance to swap some you have done with some new to you puzzles! Just bring a puzzle (or two, or three) and we'll swap with each other.

Join Erika and make beautiful Valentine's cards using Washi Tape. We will have lots of supplies on hand. This is a great program for families with children 5 years old and older. All ages welcome, children must be accompanied by their adults.
