Join us for the final segment of our dyslexia awareness series where we learn how we can support children with dyslexia presented by Jamie Davis, Certified Academic Language Therapist and National Board Certified Teacher in the area of literacy.

For adults, no registration requried.

Children aged 0-6 and their caregivers are invited to learn and play together in the East Hills Storytime Room with the early literacy toy collection. In addition, we will sing songs and fingerplays featuring rhythm instruments, ribbon wands, scarves and/or shakers.

Pet ghost in a cup is a creative snack that adds a bit of spooky fun to a delicious treat.

Come see some live animals dressed in costume! Creatures by Theresa Zoo and Rescue takes in small animals that have been abandoned or released by their owners. These animals are used in educational programs and they allow you to meet their animals up close. The costumed animals are adorable!

For all ages, registration required.

Start off International Games Month with a Board Game Swap at the East Hills Library! Bring a game that you no longer need and trade with others. Games MUST have all pieces and be in good condition. The games will be sorted according to price range and you can trade for a game of equal or lesser value than the one you brought. 

For adults and families, no registration required. 

The Book Buddies Pony Express Therapy Dogs, in partnership with the East Hills Library, are offering children a way to improve their reading skills in a unique and fun environment. This program utilizes therapy dogs as the listeners for children of all ages and reading levels.  Drop in anytime during this 90 minute session.

Find out how you can help St. Joseph become a Bird-Friendly community! Kaylee Woelfel from the Missouri River Bird Observatory will share simple, practical ways to be bird-friendly in your home, neighborhood, and community. This program will touch on the 7 simple actions and how we can create safe spaces for our birds specifically during winter.

In addition to the presentation, we will create window clings to make your windows more bird friendly.

The presentation will be geared for adults, but all ages are welcome. Registration required.
