This week we will be reading stories featuring birds and then making a fun bird craft! If you and your child enjoy a variety of games, crafts, and activities, join us every week for Tricky Tuesday! This program is best for Children ages 6 to 12.

Bring your wiggly toddlers to a storytime designed just for them!
Children, ages 18 months-3 years, and their caring adults, can participate in early literacy enhancing activities including books, songs, movement activities, finger plays and flannel stories.

Let's catch a leprechaun! Have fun making a trap to snag that tricky fellow and learn a bit of folklore on the side!

Amelia Earhart's disappearance is a mystery for the ages. Author Rachel Hartigan's new book, Lost: Amelia Earhart's Three Mysterious Deaths and One Extraordinary Life will "Unravel one of history’s greatest mysteries in this spellbinding narrative exploring three leading theories of Amelia Earhart’s tragic disappearance." Do you love playing Super Smash Bros. on the Nintendo Switch? Do you want to challenge others to see who you can beat? Join our Super Smash Bros. All Ages Tournament! Sign-in begins at 1:30 p.m., tournament begins at 2 p.m. Feel free to bring your own joycons or pro controller. 

Save your spot by registering all in your family who want to participate in this elimination tournament. For all ages. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Come enjoy Pokémon themed crafts and activities! All supplies are provided. Bring your handheld games, cards, and art to share, battle, and trade with other Pokémon fans! All ages welcome. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Monthly meeting of the SJPL Board of Trustees.

This wildlife education program will feature a combination of four or five live owls. The audience members will learn the hunting habits, adaptive characteristics, and habitat needs of the birds shown. 

Presented by Bill Winwery of Operation Wildlife, in partnership with Midland Empire Audubon Society.

Super Mario fans can join us for a Family Art Night Mario style! The Super Mario Galaxy Movie comes out later this week, so get ready by creating a Super Mario theme shadow box. Each family will work together to create one shadow box to take home. We will have a door prize for one lucky family to win a gift card to Hollywood Theater to see the movie.

The Book Buddies Pony Express Therapy Dogs, in partnership with the East Hills Library, are offering children a way to improve their reading skills in a unique and fun environment. This program utilizes therapy dogs as the listeners for children of all ages and reading levels.  Drop in anytime during this 90 minute session.
