For kids this month at your library

Come and enjoy a fun filled morning playing with Legos!  Cody Wells is an award winning custom Lego artist. His work has been featured on the Steve Harvey Show, Good Day New York, Details Magazine, and
numerous other publications. His motto is "Rebuild Your Childhood" and he encourages adults and children to use their imagination when building with blocks and not just relying on instructions. Lego lovers of all ages will enjoy the fun!

This week we will be watching Zootopia 2! This movie has a runtime of 107 minutes and it's MPAA rating is PG. If you and your child enjoy a variety of games, crafts, and activities, join us every week for Tricky Tuesday! This program is best for Children ages 6 to 12.

Children aged 0-6 and their caregivers are invited to learn and play together in the East Hills Storytime Room with the early literacy toy collection. In addition, we will sing songs and fingerplays featuring rhythm instruments, ribbon wands, scarves and/or shakers.

Come have FREE fun for the whole family at the Carnegie Library for our Summer Reading Kickoff Party!  There will be hyper-realistic dinosaurs from Show Me Dinosaurs, including some baby dinos, a jurassic photo op, and fossil dig boxes where each child can find and take home one 'fossil' and one 'gem.' Other activities will include a petting zoo, freezie pops, crafts, and registering for Summer Reading! Come have a DINOrmous good time!

The Book Buddies Pony Express Therapy Dogs, in partnership with the East Hills Library, are offering children a way to improve their reading skills in a unique and fun environment. This program utilizes therapy dogs as the listeners for children of all ages and reading levels.  Drop in anytime during this 90 minute session.

Join us for a fun night at the Downtown Library playing Lotería (Mexican Bingo)! You don't have to speak Spanish to win prizes, enjoy snacks, and have a fun night at the library during this program that's sure to have everyone shouting  ¡Buenas!

Geologists use large drills to take core samples of soil and rocks on Earth. We will act like a geologist in this fun activity as we drill "core samples" from candy bars using a straw. Can you identify the type of candy bar just from a sample? Come find out at this family fun science time!

For all ages, please register as a family and note how many will be participating.
