Please help us welcome Dr. Karen Kissinger as she presents on her experiences as an Ioway living in the city, discusses the Ioways, addresses cultural appropriation versus appreciation, and provides a safe space to explore culturally offensive terminology. In addition, she will outline the economic development enterprises of her tribe, with a thumbnail sketch of the past, present, and future.
Dr. Kissinger is a certified Life and Leadership Coach, award winning educator, and former green business owner. As a professional educator Kissinger worked for more than twenty years in secondary education and now continues to teach and coach in the areas of personal growth and leadership.
