To complete the 2021 Summer Reading Program, read a minimum of four books or 12 hours between June 1st and July 31st. Each book earns you a new badge– Will you end the summer as a Book Guppy or as an Astonishing Unicorn?

All participants who successfully log four books or 12 hours no later than July 31st will be entered into our GRAND PRIZE DRAWING for cash, gift cards, and more!**

2021 Summer Reading Rewards include:
• 1 Free Tote Bag** for your first book read & logged
• 1 Free Book** to add to your home library + automatic entry into the Grand Prize Drawing for your fourth book read & logged
Weekly Fairy Tale Friday stories and Scavenger Hunt

Participants can also unlock virtual Beanstack Badges by completing additional reading, writing, and other fun library-related challenges throughout the summer.

Children ages 17 and under: If you DOUBLE the reading challenge (log 8 books or 24 hours on Beanstack) you’ll be entered to win one of ten (10) $100 cash prizes! This prize level is generously sponsored by the Laura Hutton Memorial.

**All prizes and goodies are local pick-up only, while supplies last. Must collect physical prizes in-person at any one of the four St. Joseph Public Library branches. While we encourage you to use the Beanstack app, library staff members are ready to assist with registration and reading logs, so all are welcome to participate– just let us know if you need help!

At the end of the July, join us at Coleman Hawkins Park for the End of Summer Reading Shindig!
