Explore an Ocean of Possibilities with the St. Joseph Public Library this summer! Log the books you read to earn badges and rewards.
Register at: sjplibrary.beanstack.org You can track by quantity of books or minutes read! Just ask for a paper reading log if you prefer to track your reading on paper.
To complete the 2022 Summer Reading Program, read a minimum of four books or 12 hours between June 1st and August 1st.
The Summer Reading Program is simple: Register, read, and win!
Weekly Programs will be on offer at all of the branches and all ages are invited to attend.
Tuesdays at 10 a.m. – Downtown Library
Tuesdays a 1 p.m. – Carnegie Library
Tuesdays at 6 p.m. – Washington Park Library
Wednesdays at 10 a.m. – East Hills Library
June 7 & 8: Juggling with Jason D’Vaude
June 14 & 15: Magic with Adam White
June 21 & 22: Sing Along with Celia Rocks
June 28 & 29: Experiments with Mad Science
July 12 & 13: Sharks with Sarah
July 19 & 20: MWSU Griffon Mobile Lab
July 26 & 27: Liquid Gold: Precious Resource – Water
All participants who successfully log four books or 12 hours no later than August 1, 2022 will be entered into our GRAND PRIZE DRAWING for cash, gift cards, and more!** Anyone who registers by 5 p.m. on June 4, 2022 will be eligible to win Octavia, our giant Squishmallow octopus! Participants of all ages are eligible to enter.
2022 Summer Reading Rewards include:
- 1 Free Tote Bag** for your first book read & logged
- Goodies** from our prize chest
- 1 Free Book** to add to your home library + automatic entry into the Grand Prize Drawing for your fourth book read & logged
Participants can also unlock virtual Beanstack Badges by completing fun library-related challenges throughout the summer. Badges can also be tracked on our BINGO activity sheet.
**All prizes and goodies are local pick-up only, while supplies last. Must collect physical prizes in-person at any one of the four St. Joseph Public Library branches. While we encourage you to use the Beanstack app, library staff members are ready to assist with registration and reading logs, so all are welcome to participate– just let us know if you need help!
