Mondays from 4-5 p.m., children are invited to explore STEAM at the Downtown Library.  Each week will be devoted to science, technology, engineering, art or math!  For children 7 – 12 years old.  Sign-up required by the Friday before.  Call at 232-3812 to sign up.

March 4 – Knitting Basics – Learn the basics of this very useful art form.

March 11 – Make your own ice cream! – Using science, we’ll make a delicious treat.

March 18 – Marshmallow Launchers – Using some physics and mathematics, we’ll build and test some tasty marshmallow shooters.

March 25 – Stop Motion Animation – Using the library’s iPads and LEGO Movie Maker, learn how to create a short movie.

April 1 – To Be Determined

April 8 – Play Doh! – Chemistry is cool!  Join us to make your own Play Doh with everyday items.

April 15 – Monster Felties – Learn some basic sewing and create your very own little monster doll!

April 22 – Food Fractions – Math has never been tastier!  You’ll be having so much fun, you won’t even notice you’re learning.
