Celebrating All of Us: Looking Through a Blacked-Out Lens, Learning About Our Blind Community
August 24 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Downtown Library: Join Lisa Hellman, Youth Librarian from Wolfner Talking Book and Braille Library, in discovering what it’s like to be blind. We will have stations where attendees can experience different vision conditions. Participants will also learn how to help and interact with their blind community.
Join us as we start our exciting new series, Celebrating All of Us. This series will be a celebration of all the uniquely wonderful aspects of our community. Each month we will focus on a different group and delve into the ways that we are the same, while embracing the ways that we are different.
