Mondays from 4-5 p.m., children are invited to explore STEAM at the Downtown Library.  Each week will be devoted to science, technology, engineering, art or math!  For children 7 – 12 years old.  Sign-up required by the Friday before.  Call at 232-3812 to sign up.

September 10 – Knitting Basics – Learn the basics of this very useful art form.

September 17 – Make your own ice cream! – Using science, we’ll make a delicious treat.

September 24 – Marshmallow Launchers – Using some physics and mathematics, we’ll build and test some tasty marshmallow shooters.

October 1 – Stop Motion Animation – Using the library’s iPads and LEGO Movie Maker, learn how to create a short movie.

October 15 – To Be Determined

October 22 – Play Doh! – Chemistry is cool!  Join us to make your own Play Doh with everyday items.

October 29 – Monster Felties – Learn some basic sewing and create your very own little monster doll!

November 5 – Food Fractions – Math has never been tastier!  You’ll be having so much fun, you won’t even notice you’re learning.
