Description:

Help us celebrate both "Youth Art Month (TM)" and "National Reading Month" with our Third Annual Mini Canvas Art Contest! The theme is "Reading" and the contest is for grades K-12. The mini canvas artwork will be on display at the East Hills Library throughout the month of March. The public is invited to vote for their favorite piece in each age category, so tell your friends and family! There will also be guest judges who are professional artists. 

Award ceremony will be on April 11th at 6 p.m. (attendance not required).

Our weekly movie event is hosted by professional movie critic Bob Shultz. This week’s movie is The Searchers (1956) 119 Minutes, PG. 


Hard of hearing? We have t-coil looping technology installed in the theater for hearing aids. Thank you to the Sertoma Club of St. Joseph for providing this state-of-the-art technology in the theater!

St. Joseph Reads is a coalition of organizations and individuals in St. Joseph who are focused on promoting reading in our community.

Join us for an impactful 80 minute documentary, "The Right to Read" that was released in 2023. Afterwards, Mayor John Josendale will read a proclamation that affirms St. Joseph is a community that is focused on reading.
